Been busy over this holiday season, but wanted to give a quick update on things. I finally finished my work with editor Dan Hanks and though THE ECHO OF TOMBS has actually grown in word count (which might exclude me from traditionally publishing my work) I have sent out a series of queries to literary agents with a self-set deadline of a response by January thirty-first. If I don't receive a response (which I won't, 130k too many words lol) I hope to work with Damian Modena once again and half the novel self-published early February of 2025.
I also finished the edit on DARING RISE, and plan to query in late winter of next year, alongside a new adult fantasy novel I am tentatively calling BANE OF THE BROKEN, with which I am closing in on 100k words and still have six chapters to write (yikes!).
After the winter, I hope to continue the edit of THE BALLAD OF FELINA REYES, before I send off queries for the manuscript, and once again, I may look for a summer or fall release for my girl Felina on the self-publishing route.
On other notes, I have a crime thriller CATALYST SPRINGS I would love to edit and rewrite, and two other stories partially finished. One an adult Fantasy story, and the other a post apocalyptic, sci fi, fantasy, urban fantasy blend... more to come on that later in the year.
2024 has been a crazy start to my publishing journey and I hope 2025 brings a little more success, a few more friends and fans, and eventually that traditional publishing tag to add beside one of my works.
Happy holidays to everyone and I wish you nothing but the best in the upcoming year!
